    Description

    Introduction to Tick-borne Disease:
Tick-borne disease occurs when ticks infected with a pathogen bite a dog and transmit the pathogen into the dog's body. Many of these pathogens are zoonotic, meaning they can also infect humans. Disease is not spread between dogs and humans directly because these pathogens must complete their lifecycle phase within the tick to become infectious. Therefore, while humans and other non-canine family members can also become infected, a direct tick bite is required to transmit disease. The most common tick-borne diseases are Ehrlichiosis, Anaplasmosis, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Babesiosis, and Lyme disease. The feeding time required to allow disease transmission from a tick to a dog or person varies between ticks and disease agents. Ehrlichiosis and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever-causing bacteria can be transmitted within 3-6 hours of tick attachment, while Lyme Disease-causing bacterial transmission can require 24-48 hours of feeding before a host is infected.
    Intended use:
Ehrlichia – Lyme - Anaplasma - Babesia Combo rapid Test kit is a raid Test to diagnose the presence of tick-borne diseases antibodies against Ehrlichia canis, Ehrlichia ewingii, Borrelia burgdorferi, Anaplasma phagocytophilum and Anaplasma platys , and babesia in dog’s serum or plasma specimen.

    :
    5-10 minutes
    Specimen:
    Serum, plasma

    Test procedure:
1- Allow all materials, including Test strip to recover to 15-25℃ before running the assay.
2- Draw 1.5-2mL blood from your dog.
3- let the blood tube in room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes for blood coagulation.
4- place the tube in the Centrifuge and spin for 5 to 7 minutes at 4000rpm or at higher speed If there is no centrifuge available, after collecting the blood, keep the blood tube (plain Tube) in a standing position for 8-10 hours at 2-8C (in the refrigerator) then aspirate 1 drop of the Serum and add into the assay diluent buffer and mix thoroughly.
5- Take out the test strip from the foil pouch and place it horizontally.
6- aspirate one drop (50ul) of Serum and add it into the assay diluent buffer.
7- mix thoroughly for a few seconds.
8- aspirate 3 drops (150ul) of the diluent sample.
9- add the 3 drops of the diluent sample (serum/assay mixture) into the sample holes/Test wells "S" of the Test strip (add 3 drops of serum/assay mixture in each of the 4 small holes/Test wells of the Test strip)
10- Interpret the result at 5-10 minutes. Result after 10 minutes is considered invalid.
