4 Antique French Brass and Fabric Drapery Tiebacks (Napoleon III Circa 1850-1870)
DESCRIPTION
The item for sale is a set of four antique French (Napoleon III circa 1850-1870) curtain or drapery tiebacks. The tieback is comprised of two interlocking gold-tone brass medallions attached to fabric. The fabric on one of the tiebacks does not match the fabric of the other three. The medallions have a leaf motif and "hook" together in the center; each medallion is attached to a length of fabric which ends in a narrow loop so that the tieback can be secured.
Each medallion measured 3.375 inches wide by 4.75 inches tall. When the two medallions are hooked together, they measure 6.75 inches wide by 4.75 inches tall. When assembled, the four tiebacks vary in length from 25.25 inches to 52.50 inches long. Please refer to the pictures for details on each of the tiebacks.
These tiebacks have been stored since purchase, and have never been used. The original retail price was ,350.
