    Description

Antique cremone bolt (genuine, from early 20th century) for windows. The items are clean from paints, polished and in working condition. The items are not sold with the metal rods (stick) or with the screws included.
A cremone or espagnolette is a locking device mounted on the vertical wood frame of a french door or casement window. A handle or knob is connected to a metal rod mounted to the surface of the frame. Operating the handle (to left or right) rotates the rod which has hooks at each end that fit into sockets at the head and makes to lock/unlock the window.
The cremones are authentic and come from very old romanian mansion (from those times when my town, Bucharest, was called "Little Paris").
