    Description

This is one of several railroad items, including both model and actual train items, that we will be offering over the next few weeks. These items all came from the estate of the late Frank Fields, and model railroad enthusiast, as well as owner operator of the Peconic County miniature railroad. We will gladly combine items when we can to reduce shipping costs.
Measuring 32 1/2 inches in overall length, this oak rod was most likely used at a school to close/open transom windows, and it may also have been used by a railroad conductor to do the exact same thing on passenger cars. Being that this came from a railroad collectors estate, my guess is the later. Overall nice antique condition, free from any breaks or repairs. Some wear to original finish. Great turned handle.
