    Description

The CPV Antibody Rapid Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the semi-quantitative detection of CPV Antibodies (CPV Ab Titter Test) in dog’s serum or plasma.
Titer testing is a meathod of determining whether your pet has enough antibodies to defend against viruses that they’ve already received vaccinations for in the past, simply the CPV Ab (Titer test ) is appropriate for determining if your dog has sufficient antibodies to be immune to Parvo virus or not, Titer testing is a good idea for some dogs, for examples dogs that have a history of or genetic predisposition to poor responsiveness to a vaccine, dogs that have an allergic reaction to or other adverse effect from a vaccine, or dogs that have Immunosuppression, all these dogs should benefit from Titer testing.
Also a CPV-Ab Titer Test can be used to check immunity level in a previously vaccinated adult dog, the Test is also a good option for a newly adopted puppy or adult dog whose vaccination or health history you may not know. In addition, a Titer test may be used to make sure young puppies have responded to the initial vaccine series and are fully protected afterwards (very important to breeders), also the CPV Ab Titer Test can be a great tool in Animal shelters as they can be used to separate low-risk and high-risk dogs during Parvo virus outbreak. Shelter dogs who have a high Titer to the outbreak disease (meaning they are at low risk for infection) can be separated from the higher-risk animals, and they may be considered adoptable.
    Principle:
the CPV Antibody Rapid Test is based on sandwich lateral flow Immunochromatographic assay.
    Specification:
    Assay Time: 10 minutes
    Specimen
    :
    serum or plasma
    Accuracy: >97%
    Condition:
    New
    Expiration date:
    04/04/2023
Items that are needed to run the Test properly:
    - Centrifuge
    - Centrifuge Tube (Supplies with the Test)
    - Syringe for blood draw (supplied with The Test)
    CPV Ab Test procedure:
1- Draw 1mL blood from your dog
2- let the blood tube in room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes coagulation
3- place the tube in the Centrifuge and spin for 5 to 7 minutes at 4000rpm or at higher speed If there is no centrifuge available, after collecting the blood, keep the blood tube (plain Tube) in a standing position for 8-10 hours at 2-8C (in the refrigerator) then aspirate 1 drop of the Serum and add into the assay diluent buffer and mix thoroughly.
4- use the provided dropper and aspirate one drop of the Serum and add into the diluent buffer and mix thoroughly by inverting the buffer Tube for a few seconds.
5- use the same dropper and add 3 drops of the mixed solution into the Test well.
6- read the Test result at 5-10 minutes (based on the Test Manual colored chart)
    Interpretation of results:
    Positive (+)
: The presence of both “C” line and zone
    - “T” line. T line at G3 is considered as standard positive.
    - "T" line (below) < G3, is weak positive and indicates low CPV antibody level.
    - "T" line around G4-G5, is strong positive.
    - "T" line equal or above than the G6, is very strong positive, indicates a contact with virus recently or in a current infection.
The H.I. Titers of CPV Antibodies are corresponding with the color intensity grades:
    G1 < 1:40    G2 = 1:40   G3 = 1:80    G4 = 1:160    G5 = 1:320    G6 > 1:640
    Negative (-)
: Clear C line appears. No T line, or T line is weaker than G1. It indicates very low CPV titer. Failed immunization may happen.
    Invalid:
no colored line appears in the Control "C" zone
    Precautions:
    - All reagents must be at room temperature before running the assay.
    - Do not remove test cassette from its pouch until immediately before use.
