Intended use of the CDV Ab Test:
The Canine Distemper Virus Antibody Rapid Test is a lateral flow Immunochromatographic assay for the semi-quantitative detection of Canine Distemper Virus Antibody (CDV Ab) in dog’s serum or plasma.
Titer testing is a meathod of determining whether your pet has enough antibodies to defend against viruses that they’ve already received vaccinations for in the past, simply the CDV Ab (titer test) is
appropriate for determining if your dog has sufficient antibodies to be immune to Distemper Virus or not, t
iter testing is a good idea for some dogs, for examples dogs that have a history of or genetic predisposition to poor responsiveness to a vaccine, dogs that have an allergic reaction to or other adverse effect from a vaccine, or dogs that have immunosuppression, all these dogs should benefit from titer testing.

Principle of The Test:
The Canine Distemper Virus Antibody Rapid Test is based on sandwich lateral flow Immunochromatographic assay.
Storage and Stability:
- The kit can be stored at room temperature (4-30°C). The test kit is stable through the expiration date (24 months) marked on the package label. DO NOT FREEZE. Do not store the test kit in direct sunlight.

Test procedure:
1- Allow all materials, including Test strip to recover to 15-25℃ before running the assay.
2
- Draw 1-1.5mL blood from your dog
3- let the blood tube in room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes for blood coagulation.
4- place the tube in the Centrifuge and spin for 5 to 7 minutes at 4000rpm or at higher speed
If there is no centrifuge available, after collecting the blood, keep the blood tube (plain Tube) in a standing position for 8-10 hours at 2-8C (in the refrigerator) then aspirate 1 drop of the Serum and add into the assay diluent buffer and mix thoroughly.
5- Take out the Test strip from the foil pouch and place it horizontally.
6- using the provided dropper, aspirate 1 drop (approximately 50ul) of serum specimen into the assay buffer bottle and mix thoroughly for a few seconds.
7- using the same dropper aspirate 3 drops of the diluted specimen and add them into the sample hole “S” of the test device
8- Interpret the result at 5-10 minutes. Result after 15 minutes is considered as invalid.
Interpretation of the Result:
- Positive(+)
:The presence of both “C” line and zone “T” line, nomatter Tline is clear or vague.
- Negative (-):
Only clear "C" line appear and No "T" line.
- Invalid:
No colored line appears in "C" zone. No matter if "T" line appears.
Please note:
1- If the "C" line is stronger than "T" line, the CDV titer is below SN 1:16, which indicates a weak protection of the CDV infection.
2- If the "C" line is equal to "T" line, the Titer is around SN 1:16, which indicates a protective Titer against the CDV infection.
3- If the "C" line is weaker than the "T" line, the Titer is above SN 1:16, which indicates a strong protection against the CDV infection.
Precautions:
1- Do not use the Test beyond its expiration date.
2- Do not reuse Test components.
3- Do not mix components from different lot numbers.
4- Decontaminate and dispose of all samples, used kits and potentially contaminated materials safely in accordance with national and local regulations.
