All-In-One Tube Fecal Salmonella is an inexpensive, easy-to-use and accurate detection kit for Salmonella in animal feces(pets, livestock and poultry) and their environments. A color change of solidculture medium from green to orange is considered positivePrinciple of the Test:All-In-One Tube Salmonella Stool Test containssterile two-phase culture media recommended by the FDA BacteriologicalAnalytical Manual (BAM)- Salmonella. The liquid medium is formulated with the modifiedsubstrates of BAM Media M132 (Rappaport-Vassiliadis broth) which support growthof Salmonella against high and low levels of competitive microflora in thestool sample. Directions: 1. Fill All-In-One Tube (Figure 2) with 12 mL of MB2 blue. 2. Take out one cotton swab (Figure 4)with the clean hand and avoiding contact with the cotton tip. 3. Pre-moisten the cotton swab with neutralizingbuffer (NB) prior to sampling. 4. Collect a small amount of stool by inserting all the tip of the cotton swab into stool sample and rotate. 5. Insert the swab into the tube. 6. Screw the cap on tightly. 7. Incubate at roomtemperature (70-74 °F or 21-23 °C) for 40 - 48 hours. After incubation, invert the tube 3-4 times and then read the color just below tube line 2. Interpretation: Result is positive when the color just below tube line 2 turns orange. Green (-) Orange (+)
