Here’s
an Eclipse Permanent Lifting Magnet, Air Actuated, Steel Sheet Plate Scrap Transfer
These Pneumatically Actuated Magnets were used to feed sheet stock / transfer / unload parts on metal stamping presses.
The parallel bar magnets are encased in a S.S. enclosure who's face is the contact surface so they never touch the stock being lifted. Magnets are plate mounted and attached to adjustable release/return spring assisted linear shafts and pneumatic cylinder rod.
The Festo Cylinder deploys the magnets downward against bumpers to pick up stock. Actuating the cylinder up raises the magnet
assembly and releases the stock. Release characteristics relative to load can be adjusted via return spring pre-load. As currently adjusted, lifting force remains "applied" even if cylinder "down" air source is removed. Air must be applied to cylinder "up" port to release load.

Includes Mounting Arm w/Tapped Plate & 2.5" dia. Keyed Bore + Adapter Plate (Note: Arm does not mount directly to magnet's pivoting bracket as supplied - don't know why - sold as received...)
