6-Inch Economy Recessed Can for New Construction This energy-efficient, Air-Loc housing is built for new construction or ceilings with access from above. It can be completely covered with insulation and vertically adjusts to accommodate up to a 1-inch ceiling thickness. The bar hangers may be re-positioned 90 degrees. A thermal protector ensures automatic shutdown if improper bulb wattage is used. Meets Washington State IECC and MEC codes and conforms with City of Chicago IP requirements. UL listed. Approved for wet / damp location use as defined by the National Electric Code. Please consult your local electrical code for details.  65 watt light bulb is included with this light fixture. Also included is a Tapered White Baffle For 6-Inch Recessed Housings Utilize this tapered white baffle throughout the home for general lighting use. The white outer trim ring has a gradual slope, allowing it to fit flush against the ceiling.
