Loback Meat Co. 1946 Vintage Kid's T-ShirtDescription The large 1940s era Loback Meat Co. sign that spans the aisle of the main arcade in Seattle’s Pike Place Market is well known by locals and tourists alike as you simply can’t ignore its beautiful vintage neon glow as you make your way through the market. While the sign is still there decades later, the butcher shop itself, however, did not persevere. Opened in 1946, Loback’s was one of several butcher shops at the Market, selling specialties such as homemade sausages, goose, and luau pigs in addition to the more standard fare of steaks and hams. After a 40 year run, they closed their doors in 1986, and two separate attempts to revive it failed, closing for good in 1989. Nowadays, the historic space is filled by a shop selling premium sells jams and jellies, and a second business offering dried fruits and chocolates. The classic neon sign remains a fixture of Pike Place Market and will for generations to come as just like many of the market’s unique features, it is actually a historically protected Seattle icon. Details Like all our designs, this one is treated with our signature ‘relic-ing’ process which includes our own secret recipe of hand-painted chipping, cracking, fading, and just the right touch of yellowing to ensure that it looks the part of a true vintage imprint.** We lay these works of art down on premium Delta 11736 tees, one of the softest, best-wearing kid’s t-shirts available today, via state of the art direct to garment (DTG) printing which allows us to create a vintage effect that simply can’t be accomplished with other printing methods. In short, this youth pro weight tee is perfect for every kid who wants a comfortable shirt to play, relax, or romp around in and our durable, high quality prints will survive many adventures. Regular fit 100% soft cotton (fibre content may vary for different colors) Light fabric (5.2 oz /yd² (176 g/m²)) Tear away label Runs slightly smaller than most Sizing Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
