Prison Farm, the 1938 Louis King romantic work farm convict jail prison crime thriller ("...the shocking truth behind the scenes in underworld's most hated institution!"; "Based on an Idea by Edwin V. Westrate"; about a woman whose boyfriend commits a crime, and they are both sentenced to work farm with separated male and female prisoners, and of course, the guards are sadistic and brutal, and the poor woman suffers greatly, even though she committed no crime, but she is ultimately rescued by the kindly handsome young prison doctor) starring Shirley Ross, Lloyd Nolan, John Howard, J. Carrol Naish, Porter Hall, and Anna Q. Nilsson
Condition:
fair to good.
The poster has significant creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges and separation in the left edge of the center horizontal fold. A few of the tears or other defects as described above are repaired with tape from the back.
Storyline
Disregarding the advice if her friends and against her own better judgment, working girl Jean Forest keeps company with Larry Harrison, a small-time hoodlum, helps him out of jams he gets in and even shares her money with him. When he suggests they elope to Canada, she gives up her job, not knowing that he has just committed a holdup in which a man has been killed. On the way, they are arrested for a minor offense and Harrison, hoping to hide out on the local prison farm, pleads guilty and both are sent there. The local prison farm turns out to be a backward and brutal penal colony, and the only person in the camp that Jean can turn to for help is Roi Conrad, the camp doctor who is crusading for reforms at the farm-camp.
Important information.
All posters will be sent rolled up. All the posters that I sell, that were previously folded have been stored lying flat for some time. For each time the paper poster gets folded and unfolded an old poster stand a chance to have more damage done to the folded paper poster.
It may cost more to ship, but there is less chance for damage to your poster.
I try to describe the item as best I can but, one picture is worth a thousand words so please check out the pictures carefully before bidding. Also I ship USPS mostly priority mail the price is competitive and provides a tracking number.
