Vintage Black Silk Parasol Umbrella w/ Ornate Silver Handle & Original Sheath

Description

This is a vintage black silk umbrella or parasol with the original sheath, a decorative black tassel, and an ornately carved silver handle embedded with yellow "jewels".  It is not marked sterling and the "jewels" are probably glass or semi-precious stones.
The umbrella is 34.5 inches long. The tip measures 3 inches, the handle is 10.5 inches and the ribs are about 20 inches.
This parasol/umbrella is in excellent shape. The fabric is quite thin but there are no tears or other damage. It opens easily and the spring to keep it open holds securely. The metal handle and tip are both straight and bright, with no scratches or damage.
The sheath has two tears in its seam, one at the top opening and one about half-way down, but is still in one piece and very usable. I did my best to capture the tears in the photos.
