Background on food mills: The first food mills were developed in the early 1920s by the Foley Manufacturing Company in Minnesota. A precursor to the modern blender and food processor, the food mill was designed to purée and mash foods. The Foley models were made of steel and coated in tin to prevent rust and corrosion from acidic foods
This Foley Food Mill appears to be smaller than most I see listed. The bottom is not ‘bent in’ much, i.e. others listed seem able to be set down on the counter as the bottom screw does not protrude; the screw on this mill protrudes beyond the bottom.
