    Vintage WWII Era Documents
Lincoln Army Air Field - Lincoln, Nebraska
Adequate Quarters Certificate & Special Orders Document
An interesting pair of vintage documents from September of 1944 at the Lincoln Army Air Field in Nebraska.
The first document is a small paper certificate stating that 2nd Lt. Robert Meredith furnished adequate quarters while stationed there.
It measures 8.5" by 5.5" in size.  Still in good condition, but has staple holes at upper right and general corner wear and yellowing/discoloration to the paper from age.
The other document is a larger single-sheet double sided "Special Orders" document, also from Lincoln Army Air Field.  This is Special Orders No. 179 from September 22, 1944 and lists officer assignments.  This document measures 8" by 13" in size.  It is in good overall condition, but does show signs of wear from age, handling, and being in storage.  The bottom portion was folded up so it would fit in a standard file since it is oversized.  There is also another horizontal fold line at the center.  The top edge was also folded over when it was hole punched and placed in a file...this edge also has curling and a couple light tears.  Finally, the back side of the document is heavily yellowed/discolored from age (see photos).  Still a scarce document despite the few signs of wear.

The item(s) will ship secured via USPS First-Class Mail.  For shipment, the large Special Orders document will be folded along its previous fold line to fit in a large bubble mailer.  Shipping and handling for this item is FREE.
