WWII Escape & Evasion Map of Northern & Southern Italy Dbl Sided. Map No. J3 No. Italy with insert of Swiss Frontier. Map No. J4 So. Italy with Sicilia. Maps developed for MI9 by Charles Clayton Hutton to help pilots and crew return to their units if shot down over hostile territory or captured. In great condition, rayon with hemmed edge. Very detailed. Has some age spots and has crease from storage. Size is 25” x 21”.
Map issued to my father who was an Organic Air Pilot for the 2nd Armored Div 92nd Field Artillery. It has been in storage since 1946.
